Ms Woods is delighted that many of you have already asked about how to apply for a prefect position. It is disappointing that this exciting opportunity hasn’t been able to happen in the usual way but we are really keen that we have our prefect team ready as soon as possible in Yr11. So many of you have the skills and qualities to be a fantastic prefect and role model. I really urge you to give serious consideration to applying.
To speed up the process we will take letters of application by email to Dr Nye and Ms Woods. (o.woods@stjamescheadle.co.uk and h.nye@stjamescheadle.co.uk)
You can apply from now until the second week back in Sept. You will then be invited for an interview and our prefect teams should be ready for early in the first term.
In your letter of application you should include the following things:
Why you think you would make a good prefect
An outline of your contribution to school life (e.g. form contribution, sporting achievements, extra-curricular clubs, charity work etc)
An outline of your involvement with any community activities outside of school (e.g. club membership, sporting teams, local community work, Church activities etc)
Any new initiatives that you feel prefects could lead in 2020-2021
You should also specify if you are interested in the senior prefect roles and what leadership skills and experience you have.
