20th June – Word search, crossword puzzles and environment book display for Clean Air Day
20th June – Excellence Evening in the library. We will be holding a book swap for parents/carers and staff and we’ll have a display of staff’s current reads. There will also be an ‘Author spotlight’ on Malorie Blackman created by the Reading Ambassadors.
24th June – Year 9 & 10 Book Club meeting, we’ll be discussing our current read Wuthering Heights’
1st July – Year 7 & 8 Book Club meeting, we’ll be creating our own fantasy story maps
1st July – Launch of the ‘Reading Olympics’ Summer Challenge (I’ll send you further info on this to promote via twitter/X once I’ve finalised it!)
3rd July – Year 7 Reading Ambassador and Book Club trip to Simply Books for book chat and browsing
8th July – Year 8 author visit – Tom Palmer will be talking about his wonderful series of history books
