After an emphatic 4-0 victory against Wright Robinson College in the ESFA Playstation Cup, our Year 7 girls were awarded the ‘Team of the Month’ for February. During this month our girls also qualified for the 5-a-side National Semi Finals which take place in Birmingham on Monday 16th March. Manchester City and England footballer Georgia Stanway surprised the girls during a team photograph with Playstation.
Georgia joined in with a team training session led by Mr Maidment and put the girls through some of her own challenges. They had the opportunity to speak to Georgia during a question and answering session to find out more about the England footballer. Finally the girls had the chance to take on Georgia at FIFA 20 before she wished them well in the rest of their football matches.
We proceeded to defeat Cheadle Hulme School 3-0 in round 5 of the ESFA Playstation Cup and are now in the last 16 of the competition.
